HCPN Hispano

We had the privilege early on to partner with the Houston Church Planting Network to launch Hispanic church planting sessions in conjunction with the monthly HCPN Gathering. God allowed us to have highly valuable sessions featuring speakers from different parts of the country, who shared their experience, research, and insights about reaching the diverse and growing U.S. Hispanic community.

This not only increased the effectiveness of those reaching Hispanics in Houston but also fostered a sense of community among us as we learn together, and from one another, how we can better serve our Savior in His mission.

The community of bilingual pastors and leaders at HCPN has continued to grow, and we are now developing a strategy together for equipping Spanish-speaking church planters in Houston to multiply healthy churches.

Grupos

Our first Spanish Small Group was launched out of Noche Latina. The leaders, Josue and Dayra, did an excellent job laying the foundation for this and future Groups.

Our desire from the beginning has been to be a community of groups. We have seen that growth toward maturity and care for one another occur best in smaller settings where one can know and be known.

As Groups centered on the Gospel and living on mission, we desire to make a difference in the geography where the Lord has placed us, to see many Spanish-speakers come to faith in Christ and to train them to serve Him.

Ministries

Here is how we started our journey of ministering to Houston's Hispanics and of helping equip others.
Noche Latina

In November 2012, we launched Noche Latina, a Monday night venue to reach Spanish-speakers in Houston's Bay Area. We began with a small group of bilingual members of Clear Creek Community Church who desired to partner with us to reach Spanish-speakers around them.

Noche Latina grew from 7 to over 30 in attendance, and transitioned from a small group feel to an intimate worship environment entirely in Spanish. We gathered weekly to focus on Jesus and the Gospel, through both music and message, and enjoy Latino food and friends from nearly 10 different countries!

In 2015 we began to worship on Sundays and to develop our own identity as a distinct community of faith, and last year we organized as VIDA Church. We are now building our team, and pursuing prayer & financial partners who will help us move toward our official launch.
